Post ideas for restaurants that fill tables
Restaurant post ideas built around one goal: getting people to book a table this week, not just like a photo.
Most restaurant pages post beautiful food and still have empty tables on Tuesday. The reason is simple: a nice photo answers the question what do you serve, but not why should I come tonight and how do I book.
Every idea below is built to push people one step closer to a reservation. Use them as a weekly menu for your page.
Make the food the reason to come
- The dish people come back for. Photograph your signature dish in daylight, close up, and write one sentence on what makes it different from the same dish elsewhere.
- Cut-open shots. Khachapuri with the egg being mixed, a khinkali opened with the broth showing, a steak sliced in half. The inside sells.
- Dish of the week. One featured item each Monday with its price in GEL and how long it stays on the menu.
- Ingredients from the market. If the chef buys herbs or cheese at the Dezerter Bazaar or a local farm, show it. Freshness is a reason to book.
Show the kitchen and the people
- Chef in 15 seconds. A short clip of the chef plating one dish, with no talking needed.
- Meet the team. One staff member per post: name, role, the dish they recommend to first-time guests.
- Prep before service. Dough being rolled, sauces in pots, tables being set. It tells guests real work happens here.
- Family story. If the restaurant uses a grandmother's recipe or has a history in the neighbourhood, tell it once properly and pin it.
Give a clear reason to book now
- Tables for tonight. On slow evenings, post a simple message: we have tables for two and four tonight, call or message to book.
- Set menu or lunch offer. A business lunch with a clear price and hours works well in central Tbilisi or Batumi.
- Group dining. Show your long table and explain how many people fit and how to reserve it for birthdays.
- Booking reminder. Every few posts, add one line with how to book: phone, Messenger or Instagram DM.
Thursday plan sorted: our chkmeruli is back on the menu this week. Tables for 2 and 4 still free tonight. Message us or call to book.
Events, holidays and seasons
- Live music nights. Post the line-up a few days ahead and remind people on the day.
- Holiday menus. New Year, Christmas on 7 January, Easter and St. George's Day (Giorgoba) on 23 November are classic times for family meals. Announce bookings early.
- Wine season. In autumn, the harvest season (Rtveli) is a natural theme for a new wine list or a wine pairing evening.
- Summer terrace. When the terrace opens, show it at sunset. It is a reason on its own.
Let guests do the talking
- Repost guest photos. With permission, share stories where guests tag you. It shows real people enjoy the place.
- Review of the week. Turn a short written review into a clean text post, without inventing or editing the guest's words.
- Ask for the favourite. Which dish should never leave the menu? Comments here also tell you what to promote.
- Tourist guide post. In English and Russian: what to order on your first Georgian dinner, featuring your dishes.
Photos that make people hungry
Shoot by a window, not under warm ceiling lights. Clean the plate edge. Shoot at the angle that shows the dish best: from above for flat dishes, from the side for burgers and layered desserts. For menu items photographed in a hurry, our free AI photo tool can clean up the background. Our guide to food photography with a smartphone goes deeper.
Start this week
- Pick your two slowest evenings and plan a tables tonight post for each.
- Photograph your signature dish and one cut-open shot in daylight.
- Add a one-line booking instruction to your bio and to every third post.
- Announce your next holiday menu at least two weeks in advance.
If you do not have time to keep this rhythm during service, SocialAI can prepare and schedule posts for you, including holiday reminders, and you approve them in advance.
